GRIPSPIN TENNIS: EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH THE GAME OF TENNIS

Our Mission

  • Gripspin Tennis is a nonprofit organization committed to using tennis as a tool to empower youth, promote physical fitness, help to grow the sport of tennis, and to foster character development in underserved communities. We believe that every child- regardless of income, background, or ability- deserves access to high-quality tennis instruction, mentorship, and a pathway to compete and grow through the sport.

Our Vision

  • We envision a community where tennis is accessible to all, serving as a vehicle for lifelong health, Personal discipline, and oopportunity. Through consistent programming, we aim to develop not only stronger athletes, but more confident, focused, and resilient young people.

Our Programs

  • Adult Tennis Clinics: Free or low cost introductory clinics for adults age 18+

  • Junior Tennis Clinics: Free or low cost introductory clinics for juniors. Classes vary in age groups.

  • Private Tennis Lessons: Low cost individual lessons with an experience professional instructor

  • Equipment and Gear Access: We provide donated racquets, shoes, and apparel as well as sponsored new equipment to remove financial barriers.

  • Academic Enrichment and Life Skills: On and off-court lessons in teamwork, goal setting, nutrition, and academic accountability.

  • Tournament Player Sponsorship Programs: We provide junior tennis players support in their pursuit in the USTA’s National Rankings Standings by offering financial support for entry fees, travel costs, equipment and gear, and private coaching.

  • Monthly Community Events: Free events for the community to help promote the sport of tennis and a healthier lifestyle.

Why Support Gripspin Tennis?

Too many children are locked out of organized sports due to high costs and limited access. Tennis in particular is often viewed as an elite sport-but it shouldn’t be. A National Library of Medicine report shows that long-term tennis participation has tons of health and mental benefits for adults and children. Lifelong sports like tennis need to be accessible and need the ability to grow in our communities without being too expensive.

Your support helps us:

  • Keep our programs free or affordable

  • Expand outreach to more neighborhoods and communities

  • Hire qualified coaches and mentors

  • provide safe equipment and better facilities

  • Build lifelong impact in our youth through our scholarships and support

Let’s Serve a Better Future Together

Gripspin Tennis is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. Donations and grants directly support programming, coaching, and equipment. We invite you to join us in building equity and excellence through tennis.
